  • May 13 (Thurs), 6 pm, "Thursday Night Paddle" with CdA Canoe & Kayak Club at Fernan Lake. FREE for non-members to go along. See specifics, more dates/locations & safety equipment required HERE. 

  • May 14 (Fri), 5-8 pm, "ArtWalk" in downtown CdA. A relaxing evening of browsing through art galleries to view demonstrations, listen to musicians & sip wine. Admission to Museum of North Idaho, 115 Northwest Bldv. is FREE; also Music Conservatory of CdA, & Human Rights Education Institute. See more info & map HERE.

  • May 17 (Mon), 9 am-2:30 pm, "Free Coffee & Snacks" at Spirit Lake Senior Center, 32564 N. 4th Ave. Doors are open to everyone M & W, 9 am-2:30 pm; & Fridays, 7:30 am-2:30 pm.

  • May 18 (Tues), 3-6 pm, "Take Me Fishing FREE" at Cocolalla Lake. All ages are welcome - no fishing license needed; equipment/bait & instruction provided by IDFG. Geared toward new anglers, check in at the blue trailer upon arrival. Take a cooler to keep fish, if desired.   • May 21 (Fri), 7-9 pm, "Battle of the Badges 2021" at Frontier Ice Arena, 3525 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls. Hockey competition between CdA Police/KCSO & Spokane Law Enforcement w/proceeds going to "Holidays & Heroes". FREE for ages 6 & under; $8 for others. Tickets HERE. 

  • May 22 (Sat), 11 am, "Spirit Lake Family Fun Event" at Fireside Park, 6967 W. Maine St. Full day of fun with Yak-Bassin fishing, cardboard boat regatta, vendors & chili cook-off. Hosted by Spirit Event Committee. More info HERE.

  • May 22 (Sat), 2 pm, "Classic Car Poker Run" begins at Eagles Lodge, 1520 W. Wyoming, Hayden. In its 3rd year, this is a fundraiser for Silver Angels For the Elderly, a non-profit group which benefits residents of eldercare facilities & their families. More info HERE.

  • May 25 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Free Community Meal" at Spirit Lake Senior/Community Center, 32564 4th Avenue. Cup of Grace volunteers provide a home-cooked meal, serve & clean up.  Go - enjoy yourself & meet new friends. All ages are welcome! More info HERE.

  • May 22 (Sat), 10 am-noon, "Dream Catcher Balloon Rides" at McEuen Park, 420 E. Front Ave., CdA, for ADA veterans FREE of charge! Space is limited; sign up via email to Dreamer@nwplace.com More info HERE.

  • May 13 (Thurs), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market" by 2nd Harvest at Ponderay Walmart, 476999 Hwy 95. FREE drive-thru food distribution for up to 250 families. Prepacked boxes include produce & meats. No app't needed.

  • May 14 (Fri), 10-11 am, "Mommy and Me Social Hour" is a gathering (for education & support) of new mothers, held the 2nd & 4th Fridays of each month at Kootenai Clinic, 1919 Lincoln Way, 2nd floor classroom, CdA. Questions? 208-625-5086. Find FREE support groups of all kinds HERE.

  • May 18 (Tues) & 21 (Fri), 2-6 pm, "Wallace Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic" at The Wallace Inn (Galena Room), 100 Front Street. Anyone age 18 & older is eligible for the vaccine (J&J single shot). Pre-registration HERE.

  • May 18 & 25 (Tues), 6-7 pm, "Car Seat Safety 101" online live, presented by Inland NW SIDS/SUID Foundation. How to choose & install child car seats. FREE class choices HERE

  • May 19 (Wed), "Dental Days" at Panhandle Health in Hayden. Provides FREE or low cost teeth cleaning for youth ages 0-17 & pregnant women. Reserve an app't by calling 208-415-5270.

  • May 19 (Wed), 10-11 am, "Wednesday Walkers" hit the paths with goals of improving flexibility/strength, to have fun, relieve stress, lose weight & meet new people. Leave from Spirit Lake Senior Center, 32564 N. 4th Ave. FREE to participate in this new group. Questions? 208-623-6125.

  • May 19 (Wed), 5:30-8:30 pm, "Child Safety 101" online live, presented by Inland NW SIDS/SUID Foundation. FREE interactive class for parents, grandparents, babysitters - anyone who cares for a baby/child. Covers CPR, choking, seizures, bleeding, eye injuries & newborn care. Sign up HERE.

  • May 20 (Thurs), 6-7 pm, "Safe Sleep 101" online live, presented by Inland NW SIDS/SUID Foundation. This FREE class will answer all questions concerning sleep safety for babies. Each family receives a complimentary Halo Sleep Sack. This class fulfills City of CdA requirement for licensed child care providers; also fulfills requirement to receive portable crib. RSVP HERE.

  • May 16 (Sun), 10 am-noon, "Work Day at Beauty Bay" by Lake City Trail Alliance. Meet at Beauty Creek Rd. off Hwy 97 (Caribou & 257) for spring clean-up.   • June 16 (Wed), 6 pm, "Kootenai Co. Sheriff - Volunteer Search & Rescue" open house for those interested in becoming volunteers. Forum begins w/presentation followed by Q&A. VSAR building is located at 10865 N. Ramsey Rd., Hayden.
