  • July 31 (Sat), 8 am-3 pm, "Customer Appreciation" at Seright's Ace Hardware, 1217 N. 4th St., CdA. FREE ice cream, live music, coffee break, giveaways & Coyote Country 99.9 live remote.

  • July 31 (Sat), 1-2 pm, "Survival Kits 101 & Disaster Preparedness" at Spirit Lake Library, 32575 N. 5th Avenue. A program for adults on how to prepare, survive, create or improve first aid kits, how to build up food reserves & more. Some basic supplies to start a kit will be provided FREE of charge!

  • July 31 (Sat), 11 am, "Mullan Fireman's Fun Festival" in City of Mullan. Parade begins at 11 am, followed by water games for kids & adults at noon. Fundraiser for Mullan Fire Dept. Contact Mullan City Hall, 208-744-1515, for details.

  • July 31 (Sat), 1-5 pm, "Creative Discovery Classes" at Real LIfe Ministries, 1860 N. Cecil Rd., Post Falls. All ages & experience levels welcome to discover FREE workshops in music, drama, painting, sketching, art, dance, photography, woodworking, creative writing & more. Details HERE.

  • Aug 2 (Mon), 1-2 pm, "CdA Youth Marimba Band" performs at Q'emiln Park, 12201 W. Parkway Dr., Post Falls. Concert geared to ages 5-10 w/snacks, FREE books, giant games & more, sponsored by Community Library Network. 

  • Aug 6 (Fri), 3-4 pm, "FREE Mom Social Hour" at All Things Sensory Children's Development Center, 2700 E. Seltice Way, Suites 1&2, Post Falls. A time every Friday for moms to relax before weekend & visit with friends while kids play. Keurig available. 

  • Aug 8 (Sun), noon-4:30 pm, "Spectacular Spud Museum" open house at 2204 N. 9th St., CdA. FREE admission; more details HERE.

  • Aug 20 (Fri), 8:30-10 pm, "Full Moon Hike for Teens" at Farragut State Park, 13550 E. Hwy 54, Athol. Led by Farragut Rangers & sponsored by Athol Library, wear study shoes & warm clothes. For ages 11-18; snacks & water furnished. More info HERE.

  • Aug 3 (Tues), 4-8 pm, "National Night Out" in McIntire Family Park, 8930 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Presented by Kootenai Co. Sheriff's Office, there will be a K9 demo, Air 1 helicopter landing, vendor booths, community resources, food/drinks & more.

  • Aug 3 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Free Community Meal", served by Cup of Grace at Spirit Lake Community/Senior Center, 32564 4th Avenue. All are invited!

  • Aug 4 (Wed), 4-6 pm, "Care & Technical Education Open House" at Parker Technical Education Center, 7064 W. Lancaster Rd., Rathdrum. Info on NIC's technical education opportunities & certifications.

  • Aug 4 (Wed), 3-7 pm, "Findlay Monster Truck Car Crush" at Findlay Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, 550 N. Alberta St., Post Falls. A FREE summer event for the family. FREE monster truck rides (on "Skeletor") begin at 3 pm; car crush at 6 pm. FREE food & prize wheel. Take a chair along. 

  • Aug 7 (Sat), 4-7 pm, "33rd CdA District Mining Contest" at Osburn Club, 312 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn. Competitive events for men, women & children such as hand mucking, spike driving, jackleg drilling, 12-B Mucking & All-Around Miner. More info, 208-691-1367 (Mark), or 208-512-1925 (Guy). 

  • Aug 13 (Fri), 5-8 pm, "ArtWalk" in downtown CdA. A relaxing evening of browsing through art galleries to view demonstrations, listen to musicians & sip wine. Admission to Museum of North Idaho, 115 Northwest Blvd. is FREE; also Music Conservatory of CdA, & Human Rights Education Institute. See more info & map HERE.

  • Aug 21 (Sat), 8 am-noon, "Community Yard Sale" in CdA City Hall parking lot, 710 E. Mullan Drive. FREE to attend; lots to see! More info, or for vendor space, call 208-769-2250.

  • Aug 3 (Tues), 11 am-2 pm, "Free Apples" provided by Super I Foods & ABC Food Bank, at 30355 N. 3rd St., Athol. Limited quantities; 98-40 lb. cases.

  • Aug 4 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market-Rathdrum" at Rathdrum Library, 16320 N. Hwy 41. Drive-through for prepacked food boxes for up to 300 families, which include non-perishable & fresh items. Open to the public.

  • Aug 6 (Fri), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market-Bonners Ferry" at Boundary Co. Fairgrounds, 7128 3rd St. Prepacked food boxes for up to 250 families include non-perishable & fresh items. Provided for anyone in need. No app't; no documentation needed.

  • Aug 5 (Thurs), 12:30-3:30 pm, "Caregiver Skills Workshop" at Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., CdA. Limited spots, so register early by calling 208-772-7994 or email mccombm@honi.org.

  • Aug 9-13 (Mon-Fri), 9 am-6 pm, "Blood Lead Screening" at SMC Community Outreach Center, 9 Country Cub Lane, Pinehurst.  Also Aug 14 (Sat), 9 am-noon. Children ages 6 months-6 years, living within the program boundaries, receive FREE testing, plus a $40 incentive. Testing via finger pricking w/results known in 15-20 minutes. Follow-up may be in-home visit to determine source(s) of lead. Call 208-783-0707 for app't. More info HERE.

  • Aug 18 (Wed), "Dental Days" at Panhandle Health in Hayden. Provides FREE or low cost teeth cleaning for youth ages 0-17 & pregnant women. Reserve an app't by calling 208-415-5270.
