  • Oct 30 (Thurs), 10:30 am-2 pm, "Paint With Friends & Critiques" at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 501 E. Wallace Ave., CdA. Hosted by Ann Bishop, graphic designer/artist/sculptor, take a project & a snack lunch. A free, fun learning event for all, the public is welcome.

  • Nov 1 (Sat), 6 am, "Residential Fall Clean-Up" for City of Post Falls residential garbage customers at curbsides. An extra chance to get rid of it - unwanted items & Fall yard debris. Items need to be at street by 6 am. Items must be bagged, bundled or in a garbage cart; shall not exceed 4' length or 4' in width. No furniture, tires, concrete, brick or hazardous materials. For appliance pickup, call 208-457-1820 (no air conditioners or refrigerators). 

  • Nov 5 (Wed), noon-3 pm, "IDOL Hiring Event" by Idaho Dept. of Labor at CdA Library. Job seekers are encouraged to take resume for on-site employers. More info - Jaquetta.Banks@labor.idaho.gov or call 208-696-2712.

  • Nov 6 (Thurs), 10 am-3 pm, "Veterans Stand Down Day" at VFW Post #1675, 318 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn. Clothing, blankets, hygiene items, fuel & grocery cards will be available for veterans. Also state & county VSO will be present. Donations are welcome prior to event w/drop-off at VFW.

  • Nov 8 (Sat), 11 am, "Veterans Recognition Ceremony" at Lakeland HS, 7006 W. Hwy 53, Rathdrum. Doors open at 10 am, w/ceremony at 11. Community members are invited to attend the celebration to meet, honor & thank veterans. The annual event is presented by Rathdrum Parks & Rec, American Legion Post #154, & Northwest Guardian Riders. Veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch at noon; door prizes too! More info - 208-687-2399.

  • CONCERTS  |  LECTURES >

  • Nov 8 (Sat), 1:30-3:30 pm, "Veterans Celebration Movie Matinee" at Kroc Center (Community Room), 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., CdA. Showing "White Christmas", a classic Christmas film, featuring one of our area's favorite actors, Bing Crosby. Movie & snacks/drinks are complimentary. 

  • Nov 11 (Tues), 11 am, "Veterans Day & Distinguished Veteran Ceremony" at McIntire Family Park, 8930 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Sponsored by City of Hayden, all are invited to attend. The "Distinguished Veteran of the Year" will be honored as well as all veterans.

  • Nov 14 (Fri), 5-8 pm, "ArtWalk" in downtown CdA. FREE & open to all ages, stroll the sidewalks for an immersion into an evening of art, music, and festive fun! See art demonstrations, sip wine & enjoy live music! 

  • Nov 18 (Tues), 7 pm, "Fall Symphony Concert" presented by Panhandle Symphony Orchestra at Lake City HS, 6101 N. Ramsey Rd., CdA. FREE & all are welcome! 

  • Nov 23 (Sun), 2 pm, "Winter Blessing" at Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel, 37914 S. Nukwalqw Rd., Worley. A celebration of Native American traditions w/live dance competitions, storytelling, complimentary fry bread & huckleberry jam. All are welcome to this FREE event! 

  • Nov 28 (Fri), 5 pm, "Lighting Ceremony Parade" in downtown CdA. For the 33rd year, Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association presents the holiday parade on Sherman Avenue, beginning at 8th & Sherman, then traveling to the intersection of Gov't Way & NW Blvd. Marching bands, dancing, music & festive floats lead the way to the lawn of The Coeur d'Alene Resort for carols & a countdown to an unforgettable fireworks display, compliments of Hagadone Corporation as 1.5 million lights sparkle in downtown CdA.

  • Oct 30 (Thurs), 1-3:15 pm, "Outreach Eats" in Rathdrum Skate Park, 7851 W. Main St., Rathdrum. FREE snacks, sandwiches, & encouragement are provided every Thursday as an outreach youth ministry by non-profit organization, Outreach Eats.

  • Nov 4 (Tues), 11 am-1 pm, "2nd Harvest Mobile Market" at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 15 S. Division St., Pinehurst. Drive-thru event for families struggling with food supplies. Fresh & non-perishable food items will be available for up to 250 families. No app't needed.

  • Nov 4 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Community Dinner" at Cup of Grace, 31848 N. 4th Ave., Spirit Lake. FREE dinner & all ages are welcome every Tuesday!

  • Nov 5 (Wed), 5-7 pm, "Steak Night for Veterans" at Wallace Elks Lodge #331, 419 Cedar Street. Veterans are invited to enjoy sizzling steaks, hearty sides & good company. All veterans eat FREE every 1st Wednesday of the month! Veterans also eat FREE on Burger Night every Friday, 5-7 pm. 

  • Nov 12 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "2nd Harvest Mobile Market" at Sysco Food Distributor, 300 N. Baugh Way, Post Falls. Drive-thru event for families struggling with food supplies. Fresh & non-perishable food items will be available for up to 250 families. Also Dec 2 at Christian Life Fellowship, 1063 C St., Plummer. 

  • Nov 14 (Fri), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Free Community Meal" provided by Bestowing the Basics & The Country Boy Cafe, 6160 E. Hwy 54, Athol. All are invited (event is not associated with need), so gather w/family & friends to connect & enjoy the delicious food & desserts. Complimentary meals will be provided thru March on the 2nd Friday.

  • Nov 19 (Wed), 8-9:30 am, "Veterans Appreciation Breakfast" at Legends Park Assisted Living, 1820 N. Legends Pkwy, CdA. Each month veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, coffee & juices - FREE of charge! Please RSVP to 208-699-6015.   • Nov 3 (Mon), 6 pm, "Winter Driving Class" at CdA Police Dept., 3818 N. Schreiber Way, CdA. Sign up for FREE class as a refresher or as a driver unfamiliar with winter road conditions by calling 208-769-2319 M-F, 8 am-4:30 pm, or email Sgt. Clifton at winterdriving@cdaid.org. Class will cover driving in snow, avoiding crashes, staying safe at a crash site, & what to do if stranded. A FREE ice scraper (from Les Schwab Tires) will be given to the first 30 people registered for each class. Also: Nov 6, 6 pm; Nov 8 at 9 & 11 am; Nov 10 & 13 at 6 pm. 

  • FREE TEEN QUIT TOBACCO PROGRAM BEGINS NOV 5 >

  • Nov 7 (Fri), 9 am-2 pm, "North Idaho Caregiver Conference" at Real Life Ministries, Post Falls Campus, 1866 Cecil Road. An inspiring day to connect caregivers throughout North Idaho. This FREE event aims to empower/educate & is provided by Alzheimer's Association. Speakers are Dr. Susan Melchiore, Dr. Marian Steele, & Robert Green. Registration link & more info is HERE. 

  • Nov  8 (Sat), 10 am-noon, "Winter Driving Safety Class" at ISP District Office, 615 W. Wilbur Ave., CdA. Taught by ISP troopers & snow plow operators, learn how to prepare vehicles, handle icy roads, & stay safe. Suggested for teens, new drivers, & those new to Idaho winters.   • Nov 19 (Wed), 1-2:30 pm, "Advanced Care Planning Workshop" for veterans at Coeur d'Alene VA Clinic, 915 W. Emma Ave., Room CDA-159, CdA. In case of serious injury or illness, create advance directive documents such as "Durable Power of Attorney" & a Living Will. Gain understanding of healthcare decisions & share concerns w/other veterans. Provided by I CARE/U.S. Dept of Veterans Affairs. Register by calling 509-434-7983.   • Oct 30 (Thurs), 5-7 pm, "Edgar Allan Poe" at Hayden Library. Explore the eerie writings of this famous author remembered for unique, dark (perfect for Halloween) stories. For ages 18+, activities include Poe-Pourri sachets, tea-staining paper & homemade envelopes w/wax seals. Refreshments too! 

  • Oct 31 (Fri), 3:30-4:30 pm, "Halloween Trivia Day" at Kellogg Library. All ages are welcome to kick off the Halloween night w/treats & Tricky Trivia. 

  • Nov 6 (Thurs), 1-3 pm, "Kootenai County Genealogical Society" meets at Hayden Library w/featured speaker. Open to the public.

  • Nov 6 (Thurs), 4-6 pm, "Lawyer in the Library" for ages 18+ at CdA Library. For low-income individuals & families in Idaho who need civil legal services. No criminal issues or fee-generating cases. This Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program is a FREE service! Registration is required at least 24 hours before clinic begins. Click HERE.

  • A WALKING GROUP departs from Athol Library every Th & Sat, 9 am; Fri, 8:30 am. All ages are welcome; children & pets too.

  • Nov 7 (Fri), 1-3 pm, "Medicare 101 Workshop" at Pinehurst Library. To make wise choices, let SHIBA (part of ID Dept. of Insurance) provide unbiased guidance & answer questions.

  • Nov 25 (Tues), 2 pm, "Kids' Movie at the Library" at CdA Library. Enjoy FREE popcorn while watching Fantastic Mr. Fox (PG-13) on the big screen of the Community Room. This is an adventure story about a wily fox trying to outsmart three mean-spirited farmers & is based on the classic book.

  • Nov 30 (Sun), 2 pm, "Holiday Concert" at CdA Libary. A local brass quintet, CdA Brass, will provide the joyful sounds of holiday classics, toe-tapping tunes, & singalongs for all ages. Light refreshments.

  • Dec 7 (Sun), 3-5 pm, "Sunday Matinee Contra Dance" at CdA Library, sponsored by Spokane Folklore Society w/local band Crooked Kilt performing traditional folk dances from New England, such as the Virginia Reel. Get up, join the group and learn the dances, directed by a caller & teaching the moves. No partner is needed; singles, couples & families are invited. 

  • Dec 10 (Wed), 1-2:30 pm, "Quarterly Medicare Workshop" at CdA Library, presented by state agency, SHIBA which offers FREE unbiased benefits info & assistance.

Provides a safe place to connect, share & grow together while learning life skills (social skills, emotional vocabulary, coping skills, strengthening friendships, & understanding digital wellness/literacy).   • Dec 4 (Thurs), 4:30-7:30 pm, "44th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony" at Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., CdA. There will be (2) ceremonies - 4:30 & 6 pm - providing a special time to reflect on love shared through words of comfort, calming music, & a meaningful luminary walk (optional) around the campus. Each family attending will receive a complimentary keepsake ornament to take home in honor of their loved one. Reserve one of the time slots for this FREE indoor/outdoor event HERE. â€‹

  • Dec 6 (Sat), 6 pm, "Lighted Vehicle Parade" presented by Rathdrum Parks & Recreation. Decorated vehicles are welcome to help lead Santa throughout the Rathdrum community. More details TBA. Held in conjunction w/the city's tree lighting ceremony.

  • Dec 13 (Sat), 9 am, "Wreaths Across America" at Pine Grove Cemetery, 6693 Hwy 53, Rathdrum. To honor the brave men & women who served in our Armed Forces, a ceremonial wreath will be placed on each gravesite. More info - call Eric at 208-687-2399, Rathdrum Parks & Rec. 

  • Dec 13 (Sat), 3 pm, "Pinehurst Christmas Festival" in Christmas Town Square (bike park & playground on Division Street). Family activities include cookie decorating, cake walk, s'mores, Christmas light parade at 6 pm followed by a tree lighting ceremony & photos w/Santa. More info HERE.
