  • July 16 (Thurs), 7-10 pm, "Spunstrand Block Party" in downtown Wallace. An annual street dance featuring live music, laughs & fun - all are welcome in the area of 600 Bank Street.

  • July 17-18 - RATHDRUM DAYS >

  • July 18 (Sat), 8-11 am, "Coeur d'Alene Cars & Coffee" in the parking lot of Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N. 4th St., CdA. No registration & always FREE to attend - show up with your vehicle to socialize w/other car/truck enthusiasts. Spectator parking on gravel lot; overflow show car parking on the grass. Car clubs are welcome. Coffee & donuts (by donation); vendors on site too. 50/50 raffle benefits Jesus in Jail Ministry which provides Bibles to inmates in Kootenai Co. Jail. Please arrive & leave quietly - shhhh - in respect for the neighborhood

  • July 18 (Sat), 10 am-1 pm, "Rathdrum Days Car Show" at Lakeland High School, 7006 W. Hwy 53, Rathdrum. Awesome vehicles, family fun, food vendors, music & entertainment, awards/prizes w/FREE entry for spectators. All cars welcome; no pre-registration required. Note registration fee is $25. Questions?   • July 18 (Sat), 10 am-2 pm, "Day of Hope" at Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Gov't Way, CdA. Free community event includes a BBQ, haircuts, games, raffles, family fun & lots of resources. All are welcome!

  • July 24-25 - HAYDEN DAYS >

  • July 25 (Sat), 2-2:30 pm, "Rain in the Park" at McEuen Park, 504 E. Front Ave., CdA. "Rain" will be delivered via hoses near Avista Pavilion by CdA Fire Dept. to those wanting to escape from the heat & have fun doing it. Stop at the engine to talk with firefighters who will be giving out fire hats & stickers to kids. Note this event is emergency call permitting.

  • July 24-26 - HARRISON OLD TIME PICNIC

  • July 26 (Sun), 1-7 pm, "Community Day!" at Release Float Retreat, 920 N. Hwy 41, Ste. 7, Post Falls. Tour the float pools! Cold plunges, sauna, red-light therapy, PEMF mats, epsom salt floating, massage chairs - see it all, laugh & have fun at the open house while understanding the benefits of holistic healing.   • July 28 (Tues), 5-6:30 pm, "Black Bay Park Renovation Celebration" at Black Bay Park, 1200 E. 3rd Ave., Post Falls. Ribbon-cutting ceremony for new boardwalk & community shelter held by Post Falls Park & Rec. Explore trails w/a guided walk & finish with complimentary s'mores by the fire.

  • July 30 (Thurs), 7 pm, "Music Bridges Borders" concert at Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls. FREE family concert for the community featuring talented young musicians from the orchestras of Baja North, Mexico.

  • July 31 (Fri), 10 am-2 pm, "Community Block Party" at Marimn's Wellness Center, 1100 A St., Plummer. A fun-filled day of family activities, bouncy houses, games, food, swag, health/wellness resources & demonstrations, door prizes, & tours of the newly-renovated center. All are welcome! Stop at the transportation department to receive a FREE handy tool which can cut a seatbelt or break a vehicle window if needed.

  • July 16 (Thurs), 1-3 pm, "Lunch/Snacks Distribution" provided by non-profit, Outreach Eats at Rathdrum Skate Park, located across from Mountain View School, 7802 Main Street. Also: every Tuesday, 2-4 pm, at Stub Meyers Park, 8320 W. 4th St., Rathdrum.

  • July 16 (Thurs), 4:30 pm, "PB&J Haydeners Food Distribution" at Spirit Lake Community Center, 32564 4th Avenue. Intended for those struggling with food supplies, locally-grown fresh fruits & veggies will be available free of charge from this local non-profit organization while supplies last.

  • July 17 (Fri), 5-7 pm, "Burger Night" at Wallace Elks Lodge #331, 419 Cedar Street. Delicious burgers are complimentary for veterans every Friday night. 

  • July 21 (Tues), 11:30 am-1:30 pm, "Summer Lunches" provided by Bestowing the Basics at Athol City Park, 30355 N. 3rd Street. Stop in, enjoy a meal - even take a bag to go for the week. All are welcome. The program is not associated w/need, & is provided every Tuesday thru Aug 11.

  • COMPLIMENTARY WEEKLY CHURCH MEALS in Post Falls, CdA, Hayden, St. Maries & Osburn >

  • July 21 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Free Community Meal" provided by Cup of Grace, 31848 N. 4th Ave., Spirit Lake (behind bank) for area residents. Join neighbors & meet new ones at this friendly, weekly gathering every Tuesday. All ages are welcome! For to-go meals, take your own clean, sealable container.

  • July 23 (Thurs), 4:15 pm, "Produce Giveaway" by PB&J Haydeners at Post Falls Library parking lot, 821 N. Spokane Street. Receive the bounty of locally-grown garden goodies FCFS. Also: July 30, 4:15 pm, in Hayden Library parking lot, 8385 N. Gov't Way. 

  • July 28 (Tues), 11 am-1 pm, "2nd Harvest Mobile Market" at St. Vincent de Paul Help Center, 201 E. Harrison Ave., CdA. Up to 250 families facing hunger will receive fresh & non-perishable food items at this drive-through event. Also: July 30, St. Maries HS, 424 Hells Gulch Road; ;& Aug 6, Our Savior Lutheran Church, 15 S. Division St., Pinehurst.

  • Aug 5 (Wed), 5-7 pm, "Steak Night for Veterans" at Wallace Elks Lodge #331, 419 Cedar Street. Veterans are invited to enjoy sizzling steaks, hearty sides & good company. All veterans eat FREE every 1st Wednesday of the month! Veterans also eat FREE on Burger Night every Friday, 5-7 pm.

  • Aug 19 (Wed), 8-9:30 am, "Veterans Appreciation Breakfast" at Legends Park Assisted Living, 1820 N. Legends Pkwy, CdA. Each month veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, coffee & juices - FREE of charge! Please RSVP to 208-699-6015. Offered every 3rd Wednesday of each month.

  • Aug 22 (Sat), noon-2 pm, "13th Annual Community BBQ" at Silverton Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia, 405 W. 7th St., Silverton. Gather with the community for a day of fun, food, raffle, snow cones, cotton candy, connection, & celebration of life.

This new peer-led support group by Disability Action Center provides a supportive environment to discuss independent living, eating healthy on a budget, & ABLE accounts/money. Snacks too! First come, first served w/no hidden cost or obligation, services are provided by Sonshine Northwest, Heritage Health & Panhandle Health District. Full eye eams, frames, lenses, limited audiology exams, dental xrays, fillings, cleanings, extractions, consultations, blood pressure/sugar testing, diabetes awareness, familiy medicine, naturopathic care, pediatrics, primary care, & sports physicals.   • Sept 12 (Sat), 10:30 am-noon, "Learn Infant CPR" at Inland Mama, 2040 N. Main St., CdA. Be prepared for an emergency & ready to act by learning infant CPR. Stop in anytime between 10:30 & noon for a 20-minute FREE lesson. Also: Oct 10 & Nov 14. 

  • Sept 19 (Sat), 10 am-1 pm, "Annual Kids' Health Fair" at Shoshone Medical Center, 858 Commerce Dr., Smelterville. FREE hot dog lunch, outdoor activities, prizes, FREE coat giveaway for kids, plus over 20 resource exhibitors. Note child must be present for coat; limit one per child).

  • July 16 (Thurs), 3 pm, "Unearth a Story: a Summer Movie Series - Stargate" at Rathdrum Library. Watch these '80s & '90s movies on big screens at CLN libraries: July 31, 5:30 pm, "The Land Before Time" at Post Falls. 

  • July 17 (Fri), 11 am-noon, "Mobius: Volcanoes" at Harrison Library for ages 5-10. Create volcanic eruptions & study core samples like a geologist. Space is limited; register HERE. Also: July 24, 10:30 am-noon, "Resin Art" for ages 12-17 at Harrison.

  • July 18 (Sat), 11 am, "Saturday With the Symphony" at CdA Library. A FREE children's program presented by members of the CdA Symphony Orchestra - all ages are welcome! Participants will experience the making of music & a correlating storybook reading. Held every 3rd Saturday.

  • July 20 (Mon), 10:30 am-12:30 pm, "Rock Painting" at Hayden Library for ages 18+. Learn the basics of painting rocks - take them home in your own box for your enjoyment or hide them for others to find. Simple techniques will be taught along with essential supplies needed.

  • July 20 (Fri), 2 pm, "Dr. Dave's Reptile Safari" at Post Falls Library. Walk on the wild side while encountering creepy crawlers & reptiles up close. Also: July 29, 11 am, Athol. 

  • July 23 (Thurs), 9-11 am, "Paint with Friends" at CdA Library. Take a current project to work on with others. Get ideas; help others. Gather in the Nelson Room on the 4th Thursday of each month. All are welcome!

  • July 25 (Sat), 1-3 pm, "Non-Profit Grant Writing Basics" at Hayden Library. Learn the process & gain guided direction to help with grant goals. Successful writing is a skill. 

  • July 28 (Tues), 5-6:30 pm, "San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers" at CdA Library for all ages. A FREE concert in the Community Room! Also: Aug 23, 2 pm, "Sunday Concert with CdA Brass".

  • July 30 (Thurs), 10 am, "Fraud Awareness" presented by Global CU at CdA Library. Learn how to guard against financial loss by understanding scammers' tricks such as phishing & skimming. Also: July 30, 5 pm, "Smart Money".

  • Aug 5 (Wed), 4-6:30 pm, "Resume Workshop" at Hayden Library. Drop-in sessions for one-on-one help w/a librarian continue: Aug 8, 1-3 pm in Spirit Lake; Aug 26, 5-7 pm in Post Falls; & Aug 28, 1-3 pm in Athol. 

  • Aug 5 (Wed), 4-6 pm, "Realtor in the Library" at CdA Library for those curious about the local real estate market. Buying or selling, or just need info on downsizing or upsizing strategies, or remodeling ideas to maximize return on investment? Held every 1st Wednesday.

  • Aug 6 (Thurs), 4-6 pm, "Lawyer in the Library" at CdA Library. A free resource held on the 1st Thursday of each month, & provided by Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program for low income individuals & families who need civil legal services (no criminal issues).   • Aug 8 (Sat), 3-4:30 pm, "Ukulele Club" for all ages at CdA Library. Learn to play the uulele or join in for a jam session. Basic skills such as tuning strings, chord positions, & strumming patterns will be taught. All are welcome! 

  • Aug 12 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "Story Time in the Nursery" at New Leaf Nursery, 12655 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Special event (arrive early) for ages 4-10 with Katie from Hayden Library leading storytime, followed by snacks, a gift for each child, a program on pollinators, & a release of monarch butterflies by non-profit Wings Rising. 

  • Aug 19 (Wed), 11 am, "Truck-a-Palooza" at Hayden Library. Get ready for sirens, cement mixers, diggers, garbage trucks & some of the hardest-working trucks. Sit in the seats, honk horns & meet the drivers.

  • Aug 23 (Sun), 2 pm, "Sunday Concert with CdA Brass" at CdA Library. Escape the heat for a free indoor event w/a local band serenading concert-goers with familiar, classic & favorite songs.

  • Aug 4 (Tues), 4-8 pm, "National Night Out" at Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Gov't Way, CdA, sponsored by Kootenai Co. Sheriff's Office. FREE family-oriented event to strengthen community partnerships. Highlights include: FREE food/drinks, K9 demos, Jaws of Life rescue demos, SWAT & fire combat challenge, emergency vehicles, dunk tank, pizza-eating contest, live music, face-painting, vendors, resource booths & more! 
  • Aug 8 (Sat) - ATHOL DAZE >
  • ​Aug 8 (Sat), noon-9:30 pm, "Taste of Rathdrum" at Majestic Park, 5750 W. Majestic Ave., Rathdrum. FREE festival for all ages, full of flavor & fun! Food vendors, beer gardens w/local microbrews, cornhole tournament, car cruise, & live music by various artists on several stages. Local favorite, The Kelly Hughes Band, will perform on the main stage from 6:30-9 pm, adding high-energy country favorites to cap the celebration. Sponsored by City of Rathdrum. More info HERE.
  • Aug 13 (Thurs), 10-11:30 am, "Bubble Palooza" at West Shoshone Park, 903 N. Division St., Pinehurst. A FREE family-friendly storytime w/snacks, children's activities, book giveaways & lots of bubbles presented by Mountain States Early Head Start! All are welcome.
