June 18-20 (Thurs-Sat), "Gyro Days & Lead Creek Derby" in downtown Wallace. In its 84th year, go for carnival rides - then on Saturday the Gyro Ball begins its journey at noon in Mullan floating on the creek before finishing at Wallace's Sixth Street Bridge to a cheering crowd of spectators. Raffle tickets are sold at area businesses w/purchasers betting on how long the float takes (a fundraiser).

June 19 (Fri), 6-8:30 pm, "Car d'Lane Cruise" in downtown CdA. Streets close at 5 pm so cruisers can travel west on Lakeside Avenue from 8th Street; north up 4th, west on Wallace, south on 2nd & east on Sherman. As the vehicles pass by sidewalk spectators, observe roaring flames, hear vintage horns & feel rumbling engines. Go early w/chairs.

June 19-21 (Fri-Sun), "Big Back-in" & "North Idaho Herbal Festival" in several Spirit Lake locations. Vendors, live music, community market, classes, street dance, kids' activities & more! See flyer HERE which includes schedule of events.

June 20 (Sat), 8-11 am, "Coeur d'Alene Cars & Coffee" in the parking lot of Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N. 4th St., CdA. No registration & always FREE to attend - show up with your vehicle to socialize w/other car/truck enthusiasts. Spectator parking on gravel lot; overflow show car parking on the grass. Car clubs are welcome. Coffee & donuts (by donation); vendors on site too. 50/50 raffle benefits Jesus in Jail Ministry which provides Bibles to inmates in Kootenai Co. Jail. Please arrive & leave quietly - shhhh - in respect for the neighborhood.

June 20 (Sat), 8 am-4 pm, "Car d'Lane Show & Shine" in downtown CdA. Over 400 classic vehicles 1980 & older will be lined up downtown where admirers can take a close look, snap photos, talk to the owners, learn some automobile history, etc. FREE & all are welcome!

June 23 (Tues), 5:30-7 pm, "5th Annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release" at Share Hope Memorial Garden, 8th & Gilbert, CdA. Providing comfort to those who wish to honor the memory of loved ones, Painted Lady butterflies (provided by U of I Entomology Dept.) will be released as symbols of transformation, hope & the continuing impact of lives well-lived, along with private notes written on special dissolvable paper. Sponsored by Auburn Crest Hospice, U of I, & NW Infant Survival & SIDS Alliance, all are welcome to participate.

June 24 (Wed), 10:30 am-noon, "Bike Rodeo" at Hayden Library, 8385 N. Gov't Way. The annual event for ages 5-12 includes an obstacle course, helmet testing & bike tune-ups. Sponsored by the library, Hayden Parks & Rec, & Kootenai Health.

June 25 (Tues), 6 pm, "Evening Paddle" w/Coeur d'Alene Canoe & Kayak Club in Beauty Bay on Lake CdA. Non-members are welcome to participate FREE of charge for a peaceful 2-hr evening "paddle". Leaves at 6 pm sharp from Higgens Point Boat Launch at east end of Lake CdA Drive so allow enough time to unload kayak, stow gear & sign in w/trip coordinator. Must have a Coast Guard-approved life jacket, whistle & Idaho Invasive Species Sticker on vessel. Also: June 30-Medicine/Cave Lake.

A true canine celebration, sponsored by City of Hayden, features a K9 Demo by Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, dog-friendly vendors, kids' playground, AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing Demo, & more. FREE for all ages!

June 27 (Sat), 2-7 pm, "Summerfest 2026" at Lake City Center, 1916 N. Lakewood Dr., CdA. First 50 in attendance receive FREE hot dogs! Vendors, games, bounce houses, live music, raffles, prizes, food trucks, & more kick off inaugural festivities.

June 28 (Sun), 10 am-4 pm, "26th Annual Garden Tour" at (6) exceptional garden locations in North Idaho, presented by The Coeur d'Alene Garden Club. Each garden has been chosen for its unique beauty, creativity & contribution to the local community. Also live music & artisan/food vendors for your self-tour enjoyment, rain or shine. An exhibit of of cool, old, shiny classic cars in all makes & models - hot rods to muscle cars. Also motorcycles & special "rides" (fire department & law enforcement vehicles). To celebrate the 50+ years of the vinyl record store's presence in CdA, owners & crew, the FREE concert will be hosted by Koep Concerts. Family-friendly w/full stage, audio, food vendors, local musicians, & good-bye hugs. All are welcome!

State & county VSO also on-site. Donations of bedding, t-shirts & underwear can be dropped off at the VFW post.
