  • March 18 (Wed), 3:30-6:30 pm, "Women at Work" at NIC Parker Technical Education Center, 7064 W. Lancaster Rd., Rathdrum. Focus on career exploration, connection & hands-on learning. Students, prospective students & community members are welcome! 

  • March 20 (Fri), "Parker Subaru Experience the Outdoors Day" at Lookout Pass Ski & Snowboard Resort, I-90 at Exit 0, Mullan. Stop at Parker Subaru, 314 W. Clayton Ave., CdA, to receive a free voucher (before March 20). More info HERE.

  • March 21 (Sat), 1-7 pm, "33rd Anniversary Powwow" at Coeur d'Alene Casino, 37914 S. Nukwalqw, Worley. All are welcome to gather, honor & celebrate powerful drums, beautiful regalia, & moments to remember - it's FREE! Host drum is Northern Cree w/honorary host drums, Rose Creek & White Horse.   • March 27 (Fri), "Toyota Ski Free Friday" at Lookout Pass Ski & Snowboard Resort, i-90 at Exit 0, Mullan. The driver of any Toyota, Lexus or Scion will receive a FREE lift ticket (valid for March 27 only). Look for Toyota representatives in the resort's parking lot under a tent. They will verify info for a free voucher to be taken to the ticket window. Note this applies to driver only. More info HERE.

  • March 31 (Tues), 9-10:30 am, "Coffee With a Cop" at Starbucks, 231 S. Beck Rd., Post Falls. Engage in relaxed conversation with member of Post Falls Police Dept. & meet the newest K9, Uno. Ask questions & share concerns about community safety.

  • CRAFT FAIRS >

  • April 3 (Fri), 10 am-2 pm, "Leave It at the Cross Prayer Experience" at Kroc Center Worship Theatre, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., CdA. A self-led, personal prayer time on Good Friday. Drop in anytime between the hours of 10 am & 2 pm. "Easter at the Church at The Kroc" will be April 5 (Sun) at 10 am. 

  • April 10 (Fri), 8 am-4 pm, "Experience the Outdoors" at Lookout Pass Ski & Snowboard Resort, I-90 at Exit 0, Mullan, FREE of charge, compliments of Parker Subaru. Vouchers prior to this day can be picked up at the dealership located at 314 W. Clayton Ave., CdA. Present pass at Lookout's ticket booth for a FREE lift ticket to be used April 10 only.   • April 10 (Fri), 5-8 pm, "ArtWalk" in downtown CdA. What a perfect time of year to browse 15+ galleries/shops! Watch artists at work, sample goodies. Click HERE for more info & the map. The event is held the 2nd Friday of each month.

  • April 25 (Sat), 10 am-2 pm, "Community Recycle Day" at Post Falls City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St. (use 5th Ave. entrance). Post Falls residents can drop off old electronics (computers, printers, monitors), cardboard (flattened), & paper for shredding. Post Falls Police Dept. will accept old unwanted prescription medications for safe disposal also. Participants will receive FREE insulated grocery bags, recycling calendars & more. See flyer HERE.

  • April 25 (Sat), 2 pm, "Wild Spring Mushrooms of Northern Idaho" presentation at Sprag Pole Bar & Museum, 6353 Prichard Creek Rd., Murray. Mushroom enthusiast Rebecca Richardson will give tips for mushroom hunting. Take specimens for help w/identification too! Be sure to see the museum while there. Admission is FREE; donations welcome.

  • March 17 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Free Community Meal" provided by Cup of Grace, 31848 N. 4th Ave., Spirit Lake (behind bank) for area residents. Join neighbors & meet new ones at this friendly, weekly gathering every Tuesday. All ages are welcome! For to-go meals, take your own clean, sealable container.

  • March 18 (Wed), 8-9:30 am, "Veterans Appreciation Breakfast" at Legends Park Assisted Living, 1820 N. Legends Pkwy, CdA. Each month veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, coffee & juices - FREE of charge! Please RSVP to 208-699-6015. Offered every 3rd Wednesday of each month.

  • March 19 (Thurs), noon-2 pm, "Lunch/Snacks Distribution" provided by non-profit, Outreach Eats at Rathdrum Skate Park, located across from Mountain View School, 7802 Main Street.

  • March 25 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "2nd Harvest Mobile Market" at Christian Life Fellowship, 1063 C St., Plummer. Up to 250 families facing hunger will receive fresh & non-perishable food items at this drive-through event. No app't needed. Also: April 14, 11 am-1 pm at Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley Ave., CdA; & April 16, 11 am-1 pm at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Rd., Post Falls.

  • March 25 (Wed), noon, "LOU: Lunch on Us" at Bayview Community Center, 20298 E. Perimeter Road. Meet w/neighbors - all are welcome - to enjoy a FREE lunch! Taught by Matt Wells from Creekside Inn Memory Care Community, training is intended to equip caregivers w/skills necessary to work w/those suffering from dementia. Also: March 19, 3-4 pm, Spirit Lake.

  • March 18-April 29 (Wed), 1-3 pm, "Journey Through Grief" at Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., CdA. A FREE 7-week guided series on Wednesdays offering education, connfection & encouragement. Space is limited; register by calling 208-772-7994 or email griefsupport@honi.org

  • March 18 (Wed), 6-8 pm, "Celebrate Recovery" at True North Church, 10583 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Held every Wednesday evening for families w/programs for nursery - 12th grade, plus men's & women's groups. FREE meal provided & transportation for whoever needs a ride.   • March 18 (Wed), 10:30 am-noon, "Paws to Read" at CdA Library provides young readers a chance to read story books to the listening ears of a therapy dog. All ages are welcome in the children's library.

  • March 25 (Wed), 9 am, "Wildflower Walk" for ages 13+ to Tubbs Hill, led by David Taylor of Friends of Tubbs Hill & flower-loving librarians. Search for early Spring flowers such as glacier lilies, grass widows, shooting stars, trillium & Arrowleaf balsamroot. Meet at the moose statue outiside of the Children's Library to begin the trailhead walk together.

  • March 25 (Wed), 1-2:30 pm, "Skins & Skulls" at Hayden Library. Learn from Farragut State Park Rangers about local wildlife - how animals respond during  winter months & prepare for Spring. See animal pelts & interactive displays.

  • March 25 (Wed), 3:30 pm, "Movie & Popcorn: The Lorax" at Athol Libary. Fun for the whole family; movie rating PG.

  • March 28 (Sat), 11 am-3 pm, "Pay It Forward Baby & Toddler Gear Swap" at CdA Library. Gently-used, pre-sorted by size, donations can be dropped off in the Jameson Room the day before (Fri) from 9 am-5 pm. No items to donate? That's OK - receive items Saturday. More info HERE.

  • April 2 (Thurs), 4-6 pm, "Lawyer in the Library" at CdA Library. A free resource held on the 1st Thursday of each month, & provided by Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program for low income individuals & families who need civil legal services (no criminal issues).   • April 3 (Fri), 1-3 pm, "Succulent Gardens & Pot Decorating" at Post Falls Library. Create a mini garden w/decorations. Supplies are provided. Also: April 11, 12:30-2:30 pm, Pinehurst; May 2, 11 am-1 pm, Harrison; May 8, 10:30 am-12:30 pm, Hayden.

  • April 4 (Sat), 10:30 am, "Sue Bockelman Presents: Gardening with Wildlife" at Rathdrum Library. Also: April 11, 11 am at Harrison.

  • April 8 (Wed), 1-2 pm, "Music Hour" at Hayden Library. This month, Frank Sinatra will be featured. Hear his iconic songs, learn about his life, songwriters & events of that time period.

  • April 11 (Sat), 12:30-2 pm, "The Art of Book Folding" at Hayden Library. Convert old books into decorative conversation pieces with an easy-to-learn craft technique. Also: May 9, June 13 & more. 

  • April 12 (Sun), 2-4 pm, "Sunday Matinee Contra Dance" at CdA Library for all ages. Line up for traditional folk dancing - New England style, sponsored by Spokane Folklore Society. No experience needed & expert callers direct dance movements. Live fiddle music provided by local band Huckleberry String Band w/Arvid Lundin. No partner needed & families are welcome!   • April 15 (Wed), 9 am, "Spring Walking Adventures: Trees, Forest Health & Fire Mitigation" for ages 13+ on Tubbs Hill. Learn from foresters about fuel reduction & plans for future tree planting while walking the main loop trail. Meet at the east trailhead (SE side-11th Street) to begin hike. Also: April 29, "Osprey Walk".

  • April 18 (Sat), 8:30 & 9 am, "Celebrate Earth Day" with a morning bird walk for ages 13+ on Tubbs Hill led by Coeur d'Alene Audubon Society. Begin at the bird sign at the east trailhead (SE side-11th Street). Binoculars are recommended for the 1 1/2-hour tour. Please no pets or children under age 7. From 10 am-2 pm, attend "Book Repair Cafe" at CdA Library to save a worn book from the dumpster. Librarians will repair broken-spine books & glue together other loose pieces/pages.   • MARCH SPOTLIGHT ORGANIZATION - Medical Reserve Corps >

  • March 15-Aug 30 - "North Idaho Reads 1 Million Pages" community reading challenge presented by The Literacy Project of North Idaho. All ages & reading levels are welcome to participate to celebrate the power of literacy. Track pages read - books, magazines, poetry, children's books, fiction, non-fiction & more - on a Reading Journal. Sign-up begins March 1. More info HERE. 

  • DONATE PROM DRESSES, TIES, DRESS SHIRTS/PANTS for prom-goers, organized by Coeur Community Closet, for upcoming prom dress giveaway events in March & April. To make sure every student can attend prom "in style", gently-used formal wear donations can be dropped off at: Lake City HS, 6101 N. Ramsey Rd.; Coeur d'Alene HS, 5530 N. 4th St.; the District Office, 1400 N. Northwood Center Ct.; or the Early Learning Center, 632 E. Borah Ave., CdA.
