  • Oct 20 (Wed), 3-5 pm, "October Hiring Event" at Idaho Dept. of Labor, 600 N. Thornton St., Post Falls. Multiple employers on site. FREE & open to all job seekers for full time, part time, seasonal, entry level, skilled trades & professional positions. Take resume & dress for success.

  • Oct 20 (Wed), 6 pm/8 pm, "CdA Full Moon Bike Ride" is a community bike ride under the full moon. All ages, abilities & styles of riding are welcome. Gather at 6 pm at Cork & Tap, 2034 N. Main St. (Riverstone), CdA, for live music music/beverages. Ride begins at 8 pm for 2-4 miles, ending at Independence Point, downtown CdA. Coming up: Nov 19 & Dec 18.

  • Oct 23 (Sat), 7:30-11 am, "Winter Blitz Veteran Stand Down Day" at VFW Post 1675, 318 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn. Conducted by Kellogg Elks Lodge 1841.

  • Oct 26 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Free Community Meal", served by Cup of Grace at Spirit Lake Community/Senior Center, 32564 4th Avenue. All are invited!

  • Oct 30 (Sat), "Post Falls Residential Fall Clean-Up" at city-wide residences. Items must be placed at street by 6 am. Items need to be bagged, bundled or in garbage cart & must not exceed 4' long & 4' wide. Furniture, tires, concrete, brick or hazardous material will NOT be picked up. Appliance pick-up by app't only (excluding refrigerators & air-conditioners). Call PF Sanitation, 208-457-1820.

  • Oct 30 (Sat), 7 pm, "Flutonics' Autumn Spook-Tacular Concert" at Music Conservatory of CdA, 627 N. Gov't Way, CdA. Performing 6 Halloween-themed music pieces for flute quartet. FREE & open to the public. Costumes encouraged; treats.

  • Nov 11 (Thurs), 10-11 am, "Veterans Day Sing-Along Celebration" at Kroc Center Theater, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., CdA. Presentation of colors, message of hope, patriotic dance from Christian Youth Theater & sing-along to National Anthem & other patriotic songs. FREE & open to the public!   • Nov 12 (Fri), 5:30-7:30 pm, "Art Overcomes - Opening Reception" at Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls. An exhibit celebrating healing, comfort, recovery & joy. Open to all & FREE w/light refreshments, coffee/hot cider & music by Etheral in E.

  • Nov 12 (Fri), 5-8 pm, "ArtWalk" in downtown CdA. A relaxing evening of browsing through art galleries to view demonstrations, listen to musicians & sip wine.   • Oct 20 (Wed), 5:30-8:30 pm, "Child Safety 101", an online interactive class covering CPR, choking, seizures, bleeding, eye injuries & newborn care. Easy registration for this "Safe Start" class & more HERE.

  • Oct 21 (Thurs), 6 pm, "The Well" at Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., CdA. FREE holistic community outreach program designed to improve the health of body, soul & spirit. Participate in group sessions, nutritional classes, pool usage, physical therapy & more. FREE childcare for children ages 3 months-5 years.   • Oct 25 (Mon), 12:30-1:30 pm, "Discovery Bus Crafts" at Fightin'Creek Market, 12727 W. Elder Rd. Worley. Kids learn how to make an iris folded card w/supplies provided. Also cool technology session.

  • Oct 25 (Mon), 11 am-2 pm, "The Altar Food Bank", 901 E. Best Ave., CdA, will have food available for those in need. Take tote/basket or grocery sacks.

  • Oct 27 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market-Blanchard" at Blanchard Community Center, 685 Rusho Lane. Drive-thru food distribution for up to 250 families in need.

  • Oct 29 (Fri), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market-St. Maries" at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 134 S. 10th St. Pre-packed food will be distributed via drive-thru for those in need.

  • Nov 10 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market-Post Falls" at Newby-ginnings of North Idaho, 570 S. Clearwater Loop. Drive-thru food distribution for those in need.

  • Nov 18 (Thurs), 11 am-1 pm, "Mobile Market-Hayden" at Hayden Library, 8385 N. Gov't Way. Produce, meats & other food will be distributed while supplies last.

  • Thru October, "Coats 4 Kids" program accepts donations of coats at these drop-off locations: Safeway & Albertson's stores; Global Credit Unions, Great Floors, 3800 N. Gov't Way, CdA; & Tomlinson Sotheby's Realty, 223 Sherman Ave., CdA. Coats will be professionally cleaned & then distributed to kids needing a warm coat, Oct 25-Nov 12 at True North Church Nazarene, 10583 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Hours: Monday & Fridays, 11 am-4 pm; & Wednesdays, 11 am-6 pm.

  • Nov 13 (Sat), 9:30 am-3:30 pm, "Be Active Kids' Child Care Training" at Panhandle Health, 8500 N. Atlas Rd., Hayden. For adults working in child care centers/homes & schools. Provides curriculum kit & training modules to increase physical activity. Receive 6 Idaho STARS hours FREE w/lunch provided. Call 208-415-5242 to reserve one of 15 spots. Masks are required & social distancing.

  • Nov 12 (Fri), 8 am-5 pm, "Free Dental Care for Veterans" at Generations Dental, 1223 N. Gov't Way, CdA. Call 208-664-9225 for app't. No-cost services offered by Dr. Justin Rader & staff to homeless & in-need U.S. veterans as part of "Operation Veteran Smiles". Take proof of service (DD214) or valid mlitary ID (VA or military retired card). Walk-ins welcome; however, app't preferred.
