  • Dec 6 (Fri), 7 pm, "Gettin' in the Christmas Mood" at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. 5th St., CdA. Presented by The 3Cs Coeur d'Aleers, all are invited to this FREE choral concert! An annual event, the group is directed by Sheila Wayman & accompanied by Ruth Leib Clark. Any donations will benefit 3Cs (Cancer & Community Charities).

  • Dec 7 (Sat), 11 am-3 pm, "Holidays at the Chapel" at Fort Sherman Chapel, 332 N. Hubbard Ave., CdA. In its 5th year, stop in for hot cocoa, cookies, kids' crafts & FREE photos with Santa! Sponsored by Museum of North Idaho.

  • Dec 7 (Sat), 7:30 pm, "Sounds of Christmas" at NIC's Schuler Performing Arts Center/Boswell Hall, 880 W. Garden Ave., CdA. Don't miss this festive concert featuring NIC Wind Symphony & Cardinal Chorale. FREE admission & open to the public!

  • Dec 12 (Thurs), 4:30 & 6 pm, "43rd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony" at Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., CdA. Experience this very special annual tree lighting ceremony, providing a chance to reflect on love shared through comforting words, calming music, & a meaningful luminary walk around the campus. Each family in attendance will receive a keepsake ornament to take home in honor of their loved one. RSVP is required due to limited space; choose one of the (2) time slots HERE. Cost? It's FREE! 

  • Dec 12 (Thurs), 4:30 pm, "Christmas Extravaganza" at River Tech School, 1687 E. Horsehaven Ave., Post Falls. Family-friendly & open to all - a FREE concert featuring Common Ground Gospel Choir & River Tech Children's Choir. Enjoy festive sounds of the season along w/warm cider & fresh-baked gingerbread cookies.

  • Dec 13 (Fri), 5-8 pm, "ArtWalk" the sidewalks of downtown CdA. A FREE & fun evening for all ages visiting galleries, watching artists at work & hearing musicians serenade the crowds. Enjoy pop-up art displays, complimentary beverages/food & the local hospitality vibe. Click HERE for more info & map. ArtWalk takes place on the 2nd Friday of each month.

  • CRAFT FAIRS & HOLIDAY BAZAARS >

  • Dec 14 (Sat), 9 am, "Wreaths Across America" at Pinegrove Cemetery, 6693 Hwy 53, Rathdrum. To honor & remember all of the brave men & women who served in our armed forces, wreaths will be placed on their graves. Mission of Wreaths Across America is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve & teach children the value of freedom. More info -  208-687-2399.

  • Dec 14-15 & Dec 21-22 (Sat-Sun), 4:30 pm, "A Night in Bethlehem" at Findlay Stadium Stateline Speedway, 1349 N. Beck Rd., Post Falls. Travel back in time to Jesus' birth w/live nativity performance in Bethlehem village setting. Gates open at 4:30; live nativity performance at 5. FREE admission!

  • Dec 17 (Tues), 11 am-1 pm, "Grief Support Holiday Luncheon" at Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., CdA. Designed to offer comfort for those navigating grief during the holidays. Share memories, explore coping strategies & find connections w/others. Lunch is complimentary, however RSVP ticket is required. Details HERE. 

  • Dec 18 (Wed), 8-9:30 am, "Veterans Appreciation Breakfast" at Legends Park Assisted Living, 1820 N. Legends Pkwy, CdA. Each month veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, coffee & juices - FREE of charge! Please RSVP to 208-699-6015.   • Dec 18 (Wed), 11 am-1 pm, "2nd Harvest Mobile Market" at Christian Life Fellowship, 1063 C St., Plummer. Drive-thru event for families struggling with food supplies. Fresh & non-perishable food items will be available for up to 250 families. 

  • Jan 8 (Wed), 5-7 pm, "Elks Steak Night" at Wallace Elks Lodge #331, 419 Cedar St., Wallace. Veterans eat for FREE; $16 meal cost for others - FCFS.

  • Dec 8 (Sun), 3 pm, "Memorial Candlelight Ceremony" at Share Hope Memorial Garden, 8th & Gilbert, CdA. To remember & honor all children of any age who have died, including pregnancy loss. Ceremony begins at 3:30. There will be a few small, open campfires; snacks & candles will be provided. Sponsored by NW Infant Survival & SIDS Alliance-NISSA & Start Start, all are welcome!

  • Dec 12 (Thurs), 4-7 pm, & Dec 14 (Sat), 9 am-noon, "Hands of Hope" at Kootenai Co. Fire Training Campus, 5271 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls. Stop in anytime during these open house events to learn CPR (in as few as 10 minutes), & receive info on the new PulsePoint phone app. Enjoy hot chocolate, candy canes & tours of fire trucks. Training is FREE & for ages 10+. Drop boxes are on-site if you'd like to donate to Post Falls Food Bank or Toys for Tots.

  • Dec 7 (Sat), 10:30, 11 & 11:30 am, & noon, "Christmas Puppet Show" in the Children's Story Room of CdA Library. Enjoy an old-fashioned show, presented by the library team. 

  • Dec 7 (Sat), 11:30 am, "Storytime With Santa" at St. Maries Library. Crafts, door prizes, snacks & photos w/Santa are provided by St. Maries Chamber of Commerce & St. Maries Friends of the Library.

  • Dec 9 (Mon), noon-2 pm, "Grand Re-Opening of Post Falls Libary" (after water damage) at PF Library. Be there for the ribbon-cutting ceremony w/live music, face-painting, food & fun. 

  • Dec 14 (Sat), 11 am, "Mudgy, Millie & Santa Sing-Along" at CdA Library for all ages - a special holiday event with a moose, mouse, Santa Claus & author Susan Nipp. Have a festive time!

  • Dec 14 (Sat), 1-3 pm, "To Give or Keep: a Gift Workshop" at CdA Library for ages 12+. Learn the basics of candle-making from melting the wax to setting the wick, & craft your own beautiful, personalized candle. Take a small vessel or container (teacup, jar, unique item) or choose from selection provided. Sign up online HERE, or call 208-769-2315.

  • Dec 18 (Mon), 3:30-5 pm, "Paws to Read" to a great listener (therapy dog) at CdA Library. This is a perfect program for young readers to boost their confidence level. All ages are welcome!

  • Thru Dec 23, "Community Ornament Exchange" at CdA Library. Leave an ornament on the tree; take home one left by someone else. 

  • Dec 29 (Sun), 2-3:30 pm, "CDA Brass X5" at CdA Library. An afternoon of live holiday music presented by local talented bands in a cozy, coffee house setting for all to enjoy! Coffee, tea & treats too. Here's the lineup: Jan 26, Lake City Strings Duo; Feb 23, Bill Bozly; & March 16, St. Patrick's Party.

  • Dec 30 (Mon), 2 pm, "Kids' Movie at the Library" will be a showing of the animaled classic, Lady and the Tramp (rated PG) at CdA Library. A pampered house dog & a tough but lovable stray embark on an  unexpected adventure. Popcorn will be served.

  • Jan 5 (Sun), noon-1:30 pm, "Beginning Origami" at CdA Library (Nelson Room) for ages 12+. Open to beginners & all skill levels, fold ornaments, boxes & snowflakes. All materials & instruction provided.

  • HISTORY LECTURES >

  • Jan 10 (Fri), 3:30 pm, "Sensory 'Calm Down' Bottles" at Osburn Library. For parents & children ages 2-12 - create your own mesmerizing bottle which may help regulate emotions & promote relaxation. Use of glitter, beads & sequins makes for a visually appealing item. Spots are limited to 12, so reserve ASAP by calling 208-752-9711. Planned by Silver Valley CARES in collaboration w/the library.

  • Dec 12 (Thurs), 5:30-6:30 pm, "The Literacy Project of North Idaho" volunteer training session at NIC Hedlund Bldg., 420 N. College Dr., Room 228, CdA. Volunteers help area adults gain basic literacy & computer skills so they can succeed as parents, workers & community members. If you can read & write fluently, you can help an adult read, write & speak English better. FREE training is provided. More info HERE. 

  • BECOME A FOSTER PARENT for Coeur d'Alene Tribe's Indian Child Welfare Program (if you live on or near the Couer d'Alene reservation &/or have close ties to the tribe.) Resources are available to help with child expenses such as a monthly foster care stipend, winter clothing voucher, paid sports & membership fees, & much more (based on eligibility).   • Jan 18 (Sat), 10 am-3 pm, "Post Falls Bridal Tour" at (2) locations: Trailhead Event Center, 12361 W. Parkway Drive, & Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center, 405 N. William Street. From florists to photographers, both venues will host a variety of local wedding vendors so brides can make plans for that perfect day. FREE admission! 

  • Feb 19-21, "Safety Fest of the Great Northwest" at NIC Workforce Training Center, 525 S. Clearwater Loop, Post Falls. FREE training over (3) days dedicated to making this region a safe place to work & live. Safety & health classes, demonstrations, workshops, & certifications are offered to the public.
