Kids' Fishing Derbies

RATHDRUM'S YOUTH FISHING DERBY

  • No fishing license required. This is also "Idaho FREE Fishing Day" for all ages.

  • City Park will be dammed & stocked for this FREE event!

COEUR D'ALENE LIBRARY begins its "Summer Sunshine Story Time" program with weekly gatherings in area parks (see schedule below) for stories, crafts &  nature-themed activities. Open to all & FREE, events begin at 10 am.

CdA Library Outreach Team will distribute different "park cards" to participants for each park visit. Collect (5) to earn a prize; collect more to be entered into a drawing for a grand prize.

Not quite FREE, but well worth $2.50 to ride the original Playland Pier Carousel (aka Coeur d'Alene Carousel). Children under 42" tall ride with an adult (one token for both). Weight limits apply.

Hand-carved by the Herschell-Spillman Engineering Co. in New York (1922), the carousel has 20 ponies & 2 chariots. Click HERE for carousel history.

Kids in the community are invited to enjoy these indoor play structures at Real Life Ministries campuses. FREE & open to the public!

 

Real Life - Post Falls "Training Grounds" is open: Sun, 9 am-1:30 pm; Mon, 10 am-2 pm; Tues & Wed, 11:30 am-2 pm; & Thurs, 3:30-7:30 pm. Recommended ages are 2-12. The structure is cleaned daily when in use.

 

Real LIfe - Pinehurst "Discovery Zone" has an I-click interactive play pad. It's also FREE to use & open to the community.

 

Take socks for kiddos. Snacks/drinks can be enjoyed in the lobby. Call 208-682-4801 for hours.

"Rathdrum Skate Park"

adjacent to P&R Dept., 7851 W. Main St. 

 

On .10 acres (4,200 sf), this concrete skate park is available for skateboard enthusiasts, complete with half-pipe, grinding boxes & rails.

 

It has outdoor lighting & is open 7 am-10 pm in the summer months.
