Outreach & Special Events

  • ​Every Wednesday8-10 am, "Coffee & Donuts" at Post Falls American Legion, 138 E. Poleline Avenue. Gather for FREE food & camaraderie with other veterans!

  • Shoshone County Veterans' Outreach, 10 am-2 pm, at Osburn VFW Post 1675, 318 E. Mullan Avenue on these dates: Oct 5, Nov 2, Dec 7. Call Dan Merrill, Veteran Service Officer, at 208-752-1264 to schedule app't.

  • Benewah County Veterans' Outreach, 9 am-2 pm, at Benewah County Courthouse (basement), 701 College Ave., St. Maries. Call 208-415-3480 for app't or stop by Oct 3, 17, 31; Nov 14, 28; Dec 12, 26. 

  • Veterans' Outreach, 10 am-2 pm, at Plummer City Hall, 880 C St., Plummer. Dates are: Oct 11, Nov 8, Dec 13. 

  • Oct 3 (Tues), 9 am-2 pm, "Supplying the Basics" giveaway at Athol Community Center, 30355 3rd Street. Bestowing the Basics will provide FREE of charge: personal care & hygiene items, household products, pet food, medicine, winter scarves/gloves/hats, T-shirts & non-perishable food items.

  • Oct 4 (Wed), 5-7 pm, "Steak Night - Vets Eat FREE" at Wallace Elks Lodge 331, 419 Cedar Street. Veterans are treated to a steak dinner. Elks & guests pay $15. Take-out available for an extra $2. Held the 1st Wednesday of each month.

  • Oct 5 (Thurs), 10 am-3 pm, "Veterans Stand Down" at VFW Post #1675, 318 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn. Clothing, blankets, hygiene items, fuel & grocery cards, plus state & county Veteran Service Officers will be present.

  • Senior members (adults) & cadets (ages 12-21) volunteer & provide support for Emergency Services, Cadet Programs & Aerospace Education. 

  • CAP Cadet Program is a year-round program focused on leadership, aerospace education, physical fitness & moral/ethical decision-making. 

  • Adults meet 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 6:30 pm; cadets meet every Tuesday, 6;30 pm, at Pappy Boyington Field (CdA Airport), Hayden.

  • New members welcome

  • Annual membership - $38 cadets; $64 adults
