"wellness at kroc center"

  • January 5, 12, 19, 26 (Sundays), 4 pm, Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene

  • "The Well!" is a FREE outreach program held every Sunday for all ages. Open to the public.

  • Teaches healthy living/lifestyle to individuals & families - strengthening body, soul & spirit.

  • Begins with short time of worship, followed by exercise training, nutritional classes & life coaching

  • Jan 20 (Mon), 2-5 pm, "Right to Dream Movie Event" at Human Rights Education Institute, 414 W. Fort Grounds Dr., CdA. In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., the movie, "Selma" will be shown FREE of charge. All are welcome; popcorn provided. (A craft area will be provided for young children.)

  • Jan 25 (Thurs), 11 am-3 pm, "Golden Years: Senior Resource Fair" at Lake City Center, 1916 N. Lakewood Dr., CdA. Topics for ages 55+ will be travel, entertainment, health, home care, hobbies, veterans & dining.

  • Jan 29 (Wed), 6-8 pm, "Free Skate Night for NIC Students" at Skate Plaza, 5685 N. Pioneer Dr., CdA. Students need to show ID. Family & friends can attend for $7 (includes admission, skate rental & food.)

  • Jan 29-30 (Wed-Thurs), 7 am-3 pm, "Mobile VA Clinic" at VFW Post 1675, 318 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn. 

  • Feb 4 (Tues), 7:30-9:30 pm, "JazzNIC Festival Concert" at NIC's Schuler Performing Arts Center, 880 W. Garden Ave., CdA.

  • Jan 21 (Tues), 5-6:30 pm, "Introduction  to Keto & Metabolism Reset" at Natural Grocers, 222 W. Neider Ave., CdA. Learn about ketogenic diets.

  • Feb 7 (Fri), 7-10 am, "Heart to Heart Event" at The Hagadone Event Center, 900 S. Floating Green Dr., CdA. Low cost heart screening from 7:30-9 am, followed by FREE seminar conducted by panel of cardiologists who will discuss importance of healthy habits, heart disease prevention & when to call a doctor.   • Feb 18 (Tues), 6-7 pm, "Safe Sleep 101" at Inland NW SIDS Foundation, 1130 N. 4th St., CDA. Learn how to keep baby safe while sleeping. Each family receives a FREE Halo Sleep Sack too! Register HERE.

  • March 9 (Mon), "Developmental Screening" for all children in CdA School District, ages 0-5 will take place at Ramsey Elementary School in CdA, This FREE screening will check vision/hearing, speech/language skills, fine & gross motor skills, self-help skills & more.   • Jan 21 (Tues), noon, Pinehurst (adults), "Knitting Needles'. Create knitting needles with polymer clay tops. Kids over 8 years old are welcome if they are with an adult. Limited space, so call 208-682-3483 to reserve a spot.

  • Jan 24 (Fri), 6-7:30 pm, Hayden (all ages), "Learn to Fly: Drones". Learn what all the "buzz" is about.

  • Jan 25 (Sat), 11 am, Spirit Lake (kids), "Hair Chalking & Temporary Tattoos". Geared for ages 5-12.

  • Jan 25 (Sat), 11 am-noon, CdA (kids), "Chinese New Year Storytime". Attend the Lunar New Year program which includes stories in Mandarin & English, followed by crafts.

  • Jan 25 (Sat), 11 am-noon, Athol (kids), "Coding for Early Literacy". Parents will learn coding concepts; ages 2-5 will play with coding toys & receive a FREE book.

  • Jan 25 (Sat), 1-3 pm, "North Idaho Library Spelling Bee" for high school students & adults at Rathdrum Library. Separate contest for 4th-8th graders also from 1-3 pm. Call 208-687-1029 to sign up as a competitor. Local winners go against winners from Athol, Post Falls & Spirit Lake on Feb 1.

  • Jan 28 (Thurs), 7 pm, CdA (all ages), "Historic Coeur d'Alene Home - Then & Now" presented by historian Robert Singletary. Lecture series begins with the J.C. White House, recently moved from Sherman Avenue to the base of Tubbs Hill to serve as a museum.

  • Jan 31 (Fri), 6-8 pm, CdA (teens), "Teen Movie: Yesterday (PG-13)". Pizza provided for ages 12-19.
