FREE community events - MAY/JUNE


  • May 30 (Sat), 11 am-1 pm, "Arbor Day Tree Seedling Giveaway" by City of Hayden. Enter lot north of 8930 N. Gov't Way, Hayden, from the south side. Limit 1 per car; 300 seedlings are available FREE. 

  • June 13 (Sat), 9 am-5 pm & June 14 (Sun), 9 am-3 pm, "Shoot Like a Girl - SLG2" at Cabela's, 101 N. Cabela Way, Post Falls. Ladies shoot from mobile range - pistol, rifle & bow - instructed by female certified instructors & archery coaches. Must be over 16 years of age to participate.

  • June 20 & 21 (Sat & Sun), "Father's Day Weekend" at Silverwood Theme Park, 27843 N. Hwy 95, Athol; 208-683-3400. Dad's admission is FREE when another family member purchases a ticket. More info HERE.





  • July 4 (Sat), "4th of July Festival', downtown CdA. Parade on Sherman Ave., city park activities, fireworks at dusk. A FREE event for all! More info TBA.

  • July 4 (Sat), noon-10 pm, "4th of July Celebration & Fireworks" in downtown Harrison. Family fun with yard games, vendors, live music & fireworks show.

  • July 14 & 21 (Tues), "Toyota Tuesday" at Silverwood Theme Park, 27843 N. Hwy 95, Athol; 208-683-3400. Driver of any Toyota/Scion/Lexus gets in FREE when bringing an admission coupon from any Inland Empire Toyota Dealer. (Must be validated by parking lot attendant upon arrival at theme park.   • July 17-18 (Fri & Sat), "Car d'Lane" in its 30th year, downtown CdA. Vehicle pre-registration by June 29 (no same day this year). More info HERE. 

  • July 18 (Sat), 3-11 pm, "Bob's 21 Club Annual Street Dance" at 212 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls. Celebrating PFHS Class of 1980 (40th reunion) & PFHS alumni! Kelly Hughes Band plays at 7 pm. Take own chair; cover charge FREE! No outside coolers, drinks or food. Everyone welcome.

  • July 24 (Fri), 2-9 pm & July 25 (Sat), 10 am-9 pm, "Hayden Days", McIntire Family Park, 8930 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Live music, pancake feed, parade, car show, talent show, vendors. See schedule HERE.

  • July 25 (Sat), 830 pm, "Movie Night in the Park", Majestic Park, 5750 W. Majestic Ave., Rathdrum. Family event w/FREE admission & popcorn. Take chairs & blankets.


FREE wellness events


  • June 11 (Wed), 5:30-6:30 pm, "Safe Sleep 101". Learn safe sleep techniques for babies during this FREE online session, intended for anyone who cares for a baby. Each family receives a "Halo Sleep Sack" FREE of charge. More info/registration HERE.

  • June 17 (Wed), 10 am-7 pm, "Dental Day" provided by Panhandle Health District, 8500 N. Atlas Rd., Hayden. Provided monthly on the 3rd Wednesday. FREE or low cost dental care for children ages 3-17 & pregnant women. Dental hygienist provides oral health check, teeth cleaning, fluoride varnish & referrals. "Happy Appointments" provided for ages 1-2. Reserve app'ts by calling 208-415-5270.

  • Aug 8 (Sat), 5 am-2 pm, "CdA Triathlon & Duathlon" starting at Independence Point, downtown CdA. FREE for spectators. More info for participants HERE.

  • Aug 15 (Sat), noon-9 pm, "Taste of Rathdrum" at Majestic Park, 5400 W. Majestic Avenue. Features BBQ cookoff, hot dog eating contest, petting zoo, corn hole tournament, bounce house, beer garden & more. Kelly Hughes Band plays 6-9 pm.

  • Aug 22 (Sat), "Riverstone Pond Concert" by Coeur d'Alene Symphony in Riverstone.

  • Sept 7 (Mon), "Labor Day Concert" by Coeur d'Alene Symphony in CdA City Park.

  • Sept 12 (Sat), 8 am-4 pm, "Haul Ass to Harrison Annual Show n' Shine" is a classic car show w/prizes & music in Harrison City Park.

FREE library events


  • Due to COVID-19, ALL EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED until further notice.

  • Coeur d'Alene Library plans a partial reopening June 1. Social distancing & wearing of masks required. Computer use limited. Meeting rooms remain closed. Programs online only. More info HERE.

  • Osburn Public Library opens June 1. Restrictions: 5 patron capacity, 20-minute time limit, no library or WiFi use.
