  • April 16 (Tues), 1:30 pm, "Medicare Basics" for adults, presented by SHIBA

  • April 20 (Sat), 8:30 am, "Earth Day Morning Bird Walk" w/George Sayler starts at the bird sign at the east trailhead on the SE side of Tubbs Hill (11th Street). Lasts about an hour & a half. Take binoculars; no pets or children under age 7.

  • April 20 (Sat), 10 am-2 pm, "Earth Day Celebration" for all ages

  • April 24 (Wed), 9 am, "Tubbs Hill Bird Walk"

ONGOING ACTIVITIES

  • Mondays, 9:30 am, "Yoga for You!" for adults

  • Tuesdays, 10 am, "Tai Chi & Qi Gong" for adults

  • Wednesdays, 10 am, "Stronger in Body & Mind". Low-impact fitness & strength-training classes for all ages.

  • Thursdays, noon-3 pm, "Community Sew-In" for adults. Take quilting project to socialize & learn tips from others (or teach). Also take sewing machine/handwork, fabric, extension cord & a love for sewing.

  • Thursdays (3rd), 4-5 pm, "Feng Shui" for adults. Achieve well-being & balance in life by manipulating your own environment. Harmonize energy flow using ancient techniques.

  • Fridays (2nd), 10-11:30 am, "Memory Cafe" for persons living with Alzheimer's or other dementias & their loved ones. Enjoy socializing & engaging activities in a relaxed, non-judgmental setting.

  • Saturdays (3rd), 11-11:45 am, "Saturday With the Symphony", a program for kids ages 3 & older

SPRING BOOK SALE

To benefit "Friends of the Library", Hayden Library will host a special book sale April 26 (Fri), 3-7 pm; & April 27 (Sat), 10 am-3 pm. 

 

The event will include a wide variety of genres (fact, fiction, history, literature, cooking, etc.), & a large inventory of Native American history/culture, railroad, aircraft, sailing, home improvement, photography, equine, quilting & rare collectible books. All are in excellent, clean condition.

"BOOK BABIES"

Babies' time to bond, learn, play, & develop language/motor skills. For ages birth-2.

"PRESCHOOL STORYTIME"

Ages 3-5 are invited for an interactive storytime.

For ages 5-10, do hands-on learning in fun, relaxed environments. Each month features a different focus including art, building & nature.

  • Wednesdays, 3:30 pm - Spirit Lake

  • Thursdays, 3 pm - Pinehurst

  • 3rd Saturdays, 10 am - Harrison

"HYGIENE HAMPERS"

Items are available - FREE of charge - & no questions asked, for children, teens & adults. Toiletry items will vary by location at CLN libraries, & may include:

  • Toothpaste, toothbrush floss

  • Body wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner

  • Comb, brush

  • Socks, hats, mittens, hand warmers

  • Diapers/creme, baby wipes 

  • Hand sanitizer, deodorant & feminine pads
