Ski/Snowboard Lessons for Kids

FREE skiing lessons for ages 6-17 & FREE snowboarding lessons for ages 7-17 are available on Saturdays through March 5.

Register online (link is above). Participants must attend a FREE ski school lesson within the first 3 weeks of the program, which lasts for nine weeks. Instruction separates beginners (10-11 am) from intermediate & advanced (11:30 am-1 pm).

Features year-round public access to 50, 100 & 200-yard ranges, plus shotgun trap & archery shooting. Details HERE.

 

Cost is $5 per shooter per day, regardless of age (cash only); plus park entrance fee. On site are vault toilets & covered shooting areas. Eye/ear protection, reloading brass, shooting clays & bottled water may be purchased. Can be reserved for private events.

SHOSHONE COUNTY PUBLIC SHOOTING RANGE

Operated by volunteers & through donations, the range is open to the public & FREE of charge. There are three separate areas - archery, rifles & handgun - as well as 8 covered shooting benches & a 500-yard gong.

Visitors are asked to clean up respect others & follow safety rules.

**Coming again in 2022, grab paddles & oars for skimming across area lake waters on Thursday evenings with COEUR D'ALENE CANOE & KAYAK CLUB. Non-members are invited to join the group, touring different waterways each week.

FLEET FEET "WINTER WARRIORS" 

Keep moving this winter - run/walk with a group every Wednesday evening & Saturday morning in CdA. "Winter Warriors" is a FREE 14-week program, designed to keep you motivated.

Usually routes are short loops, or out & back courses through CdA neighborhood streets or on the Centennial Trail with views not to be missed. All paces & abilities are welcome.

 

Runners meet at McEuen Park (downtown CdA) by the fountain near the 4th Street entrance to the park. Take headlamp or flashlight & wear reflective clothing/gear for evening outings. 

 

Rules: Be encouraging/supportive of others, & don't whine about the weather. You can also participate virtually.

Group ride begins at 8 pm; will finish at Independence Point, downtown CdA.

This monthly community bike ride - FREE of charge to go along - covers 2-4 miles usually (cruiser speed).
